Bruce Pokras Returns to the Helm of the Orange Book Companion®
The Food & Drug Law Institute has returned all rights to the Orange
Book Companion to Bruce Pokras. Look below for more details.
The license
fee for Patent GrabberTM
and ChecksQuickTM
may now be
paid via Avangate (recently
renamed as 2Checkout) using a
major credit card. There are purchase links
both below (under "Online Purchasing"),
and at the bottom of the Patent Grabber and ChecksQuick descriptions.
Mac OS X: Test versions of Patent Grabber and ChecksQuick for "Catalina" are available upon request. See the email address, below.
Windows 10: no reported
problems
with Patent Grabber (even in
64-bit mode) or ChecksQuick.
About Malware Warnings from Windows:
we are currently unable to digitally "sign" our Windows desktop applications.
That means upon opening them for the first time on your computer you
may see a warning that the app is from an unknown publisher
and could be dangerous! However, if you downloaded one of our apps from
this site you can be confident that you know the publisher and that it
is NOT dangerous. To
override the warning on Windows
you should see a link that offers more
information. Clicking that link should display an option to open the
app. You should also not have to repeat that action again. Of course, do not override the
warning for our apps that you downloaded from other sites that you are
not as sure about!

for Patent Grabber and ChecksQuick can be made via Avangate® using a major
credit card (Avangate has merged with, and changed its name to, "2Checkout," so do not be concerned
if you see that name during the payment process):
License fee
payment may also be made via PayPal:
Log into your account, click "My PayPal" then "Send & request"
followed by "Pay for goods or
services." Payment should be sent to the Sunspot e-mail adddress
shown above. Enter the license fee amount ($30 for Patent Grabber or $15 for ChecksQuick),
and write the name of the app for which you wish to purchase a license
in the optional text field.
Regardless
of which service you use for payment, once I receive notice of payment,
I will
send you the license code within 24 hours via e-mail. Please be patient.
Orange Book Companion®
and Orange Book InsightsTM blog
I created the Orange Book Companion line of drug
information products and services as a way to make it easier to
research the patents and exclusivity of FDA-approved drugs. I have now
been returned all rights to the Orange
Book Companion by the Food
and Drug Law
Institute. Both online and flashdrive
subscriptions are available at reasonable prices from the new Orange Book Companion web
site.
