Global Warming:

Some people think that it would be too expensive to do something about global warming until we are 110% sure that the warming is being caused by human activity. I think that the balance of risks is too great to wait that long, and I have summed it up in two lines:

Doing something risks money
Doing nothing risks the planet

Think that says it all, then get the word out! Add it to your e-mail sig, your blog and letters to the editor of your local newspaper. If you would like a bumper sticker with the slogan, you can buy one at Zazzle.com.

Family-izerTM Web

The production verison of our new, free application called Family-izer is now available! It takes a list of U.S. patents and/or published applications and returns all of the INPADOC patent families that those patents/applications are members of. Family-izer is a web application that runs in your browser. All you need to do is download and install the free revWeb browser plugin from Runtime Revolution. If you do not have the plugin installed, the demo page will provide a link to download the plugin.

Patent GrabberTM 5.6.1 (for Mac OS X and Windows)

Minor update to provide better text downloading and viewing for PCT publications where the publication language is not English.

Intel Macs: no incompatibilities have been reported for either ChecksQuick or Patent Grabber.

Mac OS X "Snow Leopard": three reports of no problems with Patent Grabber. One of those users had to download and unzip a fresh copy after upgrading to Snow Leopard because of a problem immediately after the upgrade. Patent Grabber worked fine after that. One report of no problems with ChecksQuick (once you upgrade to Snow Leopard, make sure your printer drivers are up to date; see our blog for details).

Windows 7: one report of no problems with Patent Grabber and one report of no problems with ChecksQuick.

[Image]  Online Purchasing

I offer Online Purchasing through The Kagi Store's Secure Server or Regular Server. Download software, and if you like it, come back here and purchase a license using a major credit card, check or even cash. If you don't know whether your browser supports secure transactions, try the Secure Server first. If it does not work, then try the Regular Server. I personally do not see your credit card information. Everything is handled by The Kagi Store. If you want information about Kagi before you entrust your credit card number to them, visit their site at www.kagi.com.

[Image] Al Stewart

Were you ever a fan of singer/songwriter Al Stewart, but have lost track of him since the days of his Platinum albums, "Year of the Cat" and "Time Passages"? Well, Al is alive and well, and still performing; and has done some great albums since Time Passages. Check out his official web site for more information.

[Image]  Melron Records (free song downloads!)

Do you like the "Philly Sound" of the late 50's and early 60's? If so, check out the web site of Melron Records and listen to song samples in MP3 format. You can also download three full length MP3's! All songs are Melron originals from that era. Includes Pop and R&B sounds. All songs can be purchased from Apple's iTunes Music Store.

I like creating artisitc photos. I have four examples at Zazzle.com that make great posters.

This site is made possible through the generousity of MacOS.net, who provides free web hosting (and great service!) to little developers like me who create software for the Mac. If you would like to support their efforts, please click the button and make a donation today. Thanks. Donate
